South Korea's daily COVID-19 cases climbed to over 400 again on Monday.
The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency said on Monday that 437 new cases were reported throughout the previous day to raise the country's accumulated caseload to 75-thousand-521.
The daily figure was thought to fall to the low 300s, but climbed above 400 due to a cluster of nearly 130 cases at a religion-linked educational facility in the central city of Daejeon.
Of the new cases detected throughout Sunday, 405 were local transmissions, while 32 were imported.
By region, nearly 180 cases came from the capital area as Seoul added 91 infections, Gyeonggi Province 72 and Incheon 13.
Other parts of the nation reported 229 cases, unusually larger than the figure for the greater Seoul area, mainly due to the cluster in Daejeon.
Eleven more deaths have been reported to bring the death toll to one-thousand-360. The fatality rate stands at one-point-eight percent.
The number of critically ill patients decreased by seven to 275.
