Over 150 Players Named on S. Korea's Preliminary Baseball Roster for Tokyo Olympics

Over 150 professional and amateur baseball players have been included on South Korea's provisional roster for this year's Tokyo Summer Olympics.

On Monday, the Korea Baseball Organization(KBO) and the Korea Baseball Softball Association(KBSA) jointly announced the list of 154, which includes former Major League All-Star Choo Shin-soo, who recently signed with the SSG Landers.

From the list, 24 will be named in June on the final roster for the Tokyo Olympics set to be held from July 23 to August 8.

There are 135 additional KBO club players aside from Choo that made the preliminary list, as well as 14 amateurs and four under contract with U.S. major league clubs.

The four are Choi Ji-man of the Tampa Bay Rays, Kim Ha-seong of the San Diego Padres, Yang Hyeon-jong of the Texas Rangers and Park Hoy-jun of the New York Yankees.
