A leading Japanese daily says Tokyo has drawn up basic guidelines for negotiations of a free trade agreement with South Korea and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

The Nihon Keizai Shimbun newspaper said Thursday that under the guidelines, Tokyo will call for the complete mutual removal of tariffs on mining and textile goods.
