Pyongyang to Ease Conditions for Nuclear Freeze

A diplomatic source in Beijing says North Korea may ease its demands at the upcoming nuclear discussions on concessions it wants in return for freezing its nuclear facilities.
According to the source, Pyongyang conveyed to Beijing that it would not insist the previously stated three conditions be met at the next six-way talks as the first step to resolving the nuclear dispute.
The source said Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will likely convey such an intention by Pyongyang when he visits Japan and South Korea this week.
Last month, the communist state said it is willing to freeze its nuclear facilities if the United States removes the North from its list of terrorist-sponsoring nations, dismantles all economic and political sanctions against Pyongyang and resumes the delivery of fuel oil.
