A senior Bush administration official says companies across Europe and Asia are providing North Korea with vital technology for its nuclear weapons program, probably without the knowledge of their governments.

The official said on condition of anonymity that the equipment is being used by the North for a uranium centrifuge system, adding that the equipment includes rotors, or spinning tubes in which uranium gas is separated.
