Japan Pushes for Abductee Talks with N. Korea Next Month

Japan is pushing to hold talks with North Korea next month to try to find a breakthrough on the issue of Japanese abductees.

Japan has already decided to raise the issue at the upcoming six-way nuclear talks slated for next week.

Government sources in Tokyo said Monday that Japan wants additional dialogue since it believes it cannot address the issue fully on the sidelines of the nuclear talks.
