Leaders from government, labor and business circles will meet on Thursday to discuss the urgent task of job creation.

The conference will be presided over by President Roh Moo-hyun with 50 representatives participating from government, labor, business, journalism and NGO groups.

They include Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Finance and Economy, Lee Hun-jai, Labor Minister Kim Dae-hwan, and the heads of the four major political parties.

Government officials said Tuesday that the leaders would focus their discussion on the current employment climate, job-creating measures, and model cases of employment in some companies.
