Two Koreas to Hold Maritime and Railway Talks Next Week

South and North Korea will hold two separate working-level talks for two days from Wednesday in the North's border city of Gaesong. The two sides will discuss cooperation in maritime transportation and the construction of inter-Korean railways and roads.
Both sides reached an agreement to convene the talks after exchanging telephone messages on Thursday.
South and North Korea have been working to reconnect two sets of cross-border railways and adjacent roads.
The ninth round of railway talks will focus on reviewing the progress of the construction and negotiating regulatory issues concerning the opening of the transportation links.
At the maritime cooperation talks, the two sides will work out supplementary regulations for the implementation of an accord on cooperation in maritime transportation between the two countries.
