A pizza delivery service by drone will launch this weekend in Sejong City, after multiple one-off events.

According to the Transport Ministry, the service will start this coming Sunday and then run every Saturday and Sunday afterwards from 1 to 6 p.m. in the Sejong Lake Park area. It will run through the end of October.

In a collaborative project between local drone firm P-Square and introduced commercially in Korea for the first time by global pizza giant Domino’s, customers can make their order through Domino’s official delivery app. The service has two drones, capable of making two to three deliveries per hour.

As it is limited, the delivery service is more of a test run, with an official explaining that the ministry granted the three-month trial in line with cost and flight approval issues.
