The Unification Ministry will host the 2021 Korea Global Forum for Peace from Tuesday to Thursday next week. 

The ministry announced on Friday that this year’s forum will be held under the theme, “New Vision for Inter-Korean Relations and Community for Peace, Economy and Life of the Korean Peninsula.”

A total of 28 partner organizations from South Korea and abroad as well some 300 figures are set to discuss new concepts for inter-Korean relations and sustainable policies on North Korea. 

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Holy See Secretary of State Pietro Parolin and World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus will appear as guest speakers. 

The forum comes as this year marks the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Inter-Korean Basic Agreement as well as the entry of the two Koreas to the UN.
