58.2% of S.Korean Population Received at Least One Vaccine Shot

A little over 58 percent of the South Korean population have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine shot since the country launched its vaccination program in late February.

According to the state vaccine task force on Saturday, 232-thousand-236 people received their first dose of the vaccine throughout Friday. In total, around 29-point-87 million people, or 58-point-two percent of the population, have received at least their first shot.

South Korea also administered 698-thousand-141 second shots, raising the number of fully vaccinated people to over 17-point-48 million, or 34 percent of the population.

Currently, the country is administering the AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna and Janssen vaccines.
