Weibo, a popular Chinese social media service, has reportedly suspended some 20 fan accounts of K-pop artists for alleged "irrational star-chasing behavior."

According to the Chinese media on Monday, Weibo suspended for 30 days 21 fan accounts dedicated to popular South Korean pop artists and groups, including BTS, Blackpink, EXO, NCT and IU.

Weibo reportedly deleted some blog posts along with the suspension.

In particular, the fan account for BTS member Jimin has been suspended for 60 days for raising funds illegally to celebrate his 26th birthday in October. The club managed to customize an airplane from Jeju Air with images of Jimin on it.

The suspension came amid China's campaign to clean up the entertainment industry and after the Cyberspace Administration of China announced measures against the chaos of celebrity fan clubs last month.
