The Kyrghyzstan Defense Ministry says that South Korean troops stationed in the Central Asian country will withdraw on Friday.

The two-hundred-strong contingent, mostly comprised of military medics, was dispatched to Kyrghyzstan to support the U.S.-led war against Afghanistan and have been treating locals and military staff of ally nations.

South Korea plans to leave some five million dollars-worth of facilities and equipment it used in the Central Asian nation upon its withdrawal.
