In Washington, State Department Spokesman, Richard Boucher said all six parties had the opportunity to clearly convey their own positions in keynote speeches.

Boucher also said bilateral contacts held on the sidelines of the landmark talks were designed to have in-depth discussions on key issues and to contribute towards making progress in the six-way talks.
