The government has confirmed a list of 36 South Korean women who were forced to sexual slavery for Japanese soldiers during World War Two.

The Ministry of Gender Equality said Thursday it discovered the list after analyzing documents on prisoners of war held by the Japanese military, kept at the U.S. federal government
