Korea to Resume Economic Talks Tuesday

South and North Korea will hold a new round of economic discussions from Tuesday to discuss pending economic cooperation issues.

The North Korean delegation, led by Choe Yong-gon, vice minister of construction material and industry, is scheduled to arrive in Seoul via Beijing on Tuesday afternoon.

During the four-day talks, the eighth of its kind, the two sides will exchange views on the construction of cross-border railways and roads as well as the first-phase of construction on the Gaesong Industrial complex.

The two Koreas will also discuss ways to further overall economic cooperation projects, including setting up a plan for direct trade between the two countries.
