The nation's anti-disaster headquarters reports that property damage from the recent snowfall in central provinces has increased to more than 300 billion won.

Roofs over livestock stables and greenhouses for vegetable and fruits collapsed in Chungcheong and Gyeongsang Provinces, snowballing the total property damage to 307.4 billion won as of Sunday.

By region, South Chungcheong province reported 179 billion won, North Chungchong province 87 billion won, North Gyeongsang province 31 billion won and Daejeon 21 billion won.

The anti-disaster headquarters said the total property damage is expected to increase after it gains access into disaster areas that have so far been isolated due to the heavy snow.

On Friday, a record snowfall of 50 centimeters hit the central city of Daejeon, one hundred-60 kilometers south of Seoul. It was the heaviest March snowfall in the region since 1904, when the country began collecting weather data.
