S. Korea, Japan Agree on Peaceful Resolution of N. Korea

South Korea and Japan have agreed to work closely to persuade North Korea to abandon its nuclear ambitions.
Visiting South Korean Foreign Minister Ban Ki-moon and his Japanese counterpart Yoriko Kawaguchi held talks in Tokyo Sunday. At the talks, Ban stressed the need to deal with thorny bilateral issues "sensibly" to prevent angry public sentiment.
In particular, Ban stressed that the two countries should strengthen cooperation for the stability and peace of Northeast Asia and for the joint prosperity of South Korea and Japan. He also cited the need for a prompt adoption of a bilateral free trade agreement and visa exemption.
Kawaguchi vowed to work together with Seoul in seeking a resolution to the North
