North Korea is urging South Korea to attend a working-level economic meeting in Gaesong city.

In a press release, North Korea reiterated its earlier call for negotiations on the settlement of inter-Korean business transactions in the North's border city.

The talks were originally scheduled to be held in South Korea the previous Monday, but were cancelled after Pyongyang asked Seoul to move the talks to the North, citing political tension in the South following the impeachment of President Roh.
