Hill to Replace Hubbard as New U.S. Ambassador to SKorea

American diplomat Christopher Hill has been appointed to replace current U.S. Ambassador to South Korea Thomas Hubbard.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said Hill will assume his post in Seoul following Senate confirmation hearings and other administrative procedures.

The 51-year-old Hill entered the U.S. State Department in 1977 and has worked for the National Security Council as a senior director for Southeast European affairs. He is currently the U.S. ambassador to Poland.
