Parliamentary prosecutors in President Roh Moo-hyun's impeachment trial are gearing up for the second hearing Friday.

Prosecutors are currently examining evidence, that it will be presented to the court, to backup charges they cited for the impeachment.

Representative Kim Yong-kyun said Thursday the plaintiff will request the court to conduct an investigation to secure evidences for Roh's alleged election law violation, corruption scandals involving his former aides and economic breakdown, brought on by the leader's alleged political incompetence.

In particular, Kim said the plaintiff plans to request to the court to examine additional evidence, including court records on the trials of Roh's former aides accused of corruption. He also said the plaintiff plans to request the court to summon as many as ten witnesses directly related to the scandals for questioning.

Correspondingly, Roh's former aides, who were directly linked to corruption scandals, including Choi Do-sul and Ahn Hee-jung, may be summoned by the court as witnesses in the impeachment trial.

The court has yet to respond to the plaintiff's requests.
