Tree-planting events are taking place across the nation as the country marks Arbor Day and the 105th day following the winter solstice.

Around 3,000 citizens participated in a tree-planting ceremony in an area of some 1.5 hectares in Incheon Grand Park.

Festivals where tree seeds are distributed to citizens took place in Seoul World Cup Stadium, Yeoido Park and other key greenery zones in the capital city.

Meanwhile, traffic congestion continues to clog the streets, due to cars returning from their Arbor Day weekend and visits to ancestral tombs upon the 105th day after the winter solstice.
