The United States is accusing South Korea and China of planning to erect new barriers to U.S. telecommunications technology in violation of international trade commitments.

In its annual review of barriers to telecommunications trade, the U.S. Trade Representative - an American trade agency - said Wednesday that the new measures, set to go into effect in June, "would have the effect of excluding U.S. technology from the South Korean and Chinese markets."
