The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell ten-point-34 points, or zero-point-44 percent, on Monday, closing the day at two-thousand-340-point-27.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ rose, however, gaining zero-point-56 points, or zero-point-07 percent, to close at 767-point-04.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened three-point-five won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-303-point-nine won.
