A large-scale international business fair will be held in Seoul on April 28th to select subcontractors for reconstruction projects in post-war Iraq.
The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) said the Iraqi rebuilding conference will bring together officials from about 500 South Korean, Japanese and Taiwanese companies interested in the project.
The fair is cosponsored by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, the U.S. State Department, and the U.S. Commerce Department, and aimed at selecting subcontractors for ten main contractors of five billion dollars worth of reconstruction projects in Iraq.
The Seoul conference will be held at the COEX Intercontinental Hotel in southern Seoul.
Similar conferences will also be held in six other countries around the world, including Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Italy, Spain and Jordan.
Senior U.S. administrative and military officials will explain to participating countries the rebuilding projects in Iraq and bidding procedures.
