The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 22-point-64 points, or one-point-02 percent, on Thursday, closing the day at two-thousand-237-point-86. 

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining 20-point-67 points, or three-point-02 percent, closing the day at 706-point-01. The closing figures recovered the 700 threshold for the first time since September 23.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened seven-point-seven won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-402-point-four won.
