The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) gained 49-point-68 points, or two-point-30 percent, on Friday, closing the week at two-thousand-212-point-55.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, adding 26-point-65 points, or four-point-09 percent, closing the week at 678-point-24.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened two-point-eight won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-428-point-five won.
