The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 39-point-22 points, or one-point-74 percent, on Thursday, closing the day at two-thousand-288-point-78. 

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining eleven-point-92 points, or one-point-74 percent, closing the day at 695-point-09.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened nine-point-six won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-417 won.
