The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing three-point-24 points, or zero-point-46 percent, closing the day at 694-point-13.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened six-point-four won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-423-point-eight won.
