Politicians Lead Aid Efforts for Victims of N. Korea Train Explosion

Politicians are exerting efforts to provide relief to North Korea following a devastating train explosion in Ryongchon last week.
Uri Party leader Chung Dong-young said the party would launch a fundraising drive and urged South Koreans to empathize with the losses of their neighbors in the North.
Grand National Party leader Park Geun-hye vowed to take active part in inter-Korean exchanges and humanitarian aid to North Korea.
Democratic Labor Party leader Kwon Young-gil also urged party members to actively contribute to relief efforts to the North.
Millennium Democratic Party legislator Han Hwa-gap called on the government and the new National Assembly to take special measures in dealing with the aftermath of the Ryongchon train explosion.
