South Korea says the next round of ministerial-level talks between South and North Korea will be held as scheduled from May 4th to the 7th in Pyongyang.

A South Korean government official said Tuesday that liaison officials of both sides will meet at the border village of Panmunjom to discuss working-level issues ahead of the ministerial talks.

He said North Korea had agreed to hold the talks as scheduled and that relevant preparations would begin in earnest from next week.

Last week, North Korea demanded inter-Korean Cabinet-level talks be postponed, citing what it called an 'abnormal situation' in the South stemming from the impeachment of Pres. Roh.
