U.S. Mulling Further Aid to N. Korea

Washington says it is considering providing food aid to North Korean victims of last week's devastating train explosion, in addition to 100,000 dollars provided through the U.S. Red Cross.

U.S. State Department Spokesman Richard Boucher said Tuesday that it would consider providing more aid to the North in the event the UN and other international organizations appeal for additional aid for the communist state.

On the World Food Program's appeal for 1,000 tons of emergency food aid to Pyongyang, Boucher said Washington would "certainly look at the new appeal
