The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell seven-point-85 points, or zero-point-33 percent, on Monday, closing the day at two-thousand-352-point-17. 

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing zero-point-19 points, or zero-point-03 percent, to close the day at 717-point-22.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened two-point-five won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-302-point-nine won.
