Hi Seoul Festival 2004 to Kick off Saturday

Seoul City is making final preparations for a nine-day citywide festival.

The "Hi! Seoul Festival" will kick off Saturday with the opening of the newly built City Hall Plaza in central Seoul.

After the opening ceremony, the coronation of King Sejong of the Joseon Dynasty will be reenacted at Gyungbok palace in the afternoon.

Later in the day, a laser show, titled 'Seoul, Light in Motion' will be performed in front of the City Hall building. The show will also feature a paragliding demonstration.

The festival will also include various other cultural and entertainment events, including the Korean Wave White Night Festival highlighting the dynamism and diversity of Seoul.

The annual festival, now in its second year, is aimed at promoting the nation's capital both internationally and domestically.
