The tech-heavy KOSDAQ plunged on Friday, losing 23-point-77 points, or three-point-32 percent, to close the day at 691-point-25.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened four-point-six won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-280-point-eight won.
