South Korean football team has been qualified to play in the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens after a two to zero Olympic qualifying win over China Saturday evening.

Cho Jae-jin scored just seconds before the end of the first half, heading in a cross from teammate Kim Dong-jin from near the mid-field.

Kim added South Korea's second goal just two minutes into the second half, volleying inside the penalty area to find the top of China's goal net.

South Korean footballers thus secured their fifth consecutive Olympic tournament qualification since the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games.

With the latest victory, South Korea nabbed the first spot in the Asian region group A with a total of five wins and 15 match points.

As a result, South Korea will enter the Olympic tournament regardless of the results of a match against Iran scheduled for May 12th.
