N. Korea, Japan to Hold Abduction Talks in Beijing

North Korea and Japan will convene in Beijing Tuesday to discuss Pyongyang's abduction of Japanese nationals during the 1970s and 80s.
Director-General of the Foreign Ministry's Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, Mitoji Yabunaka, will lead the Japanese delegation to the two-day talks.
Japanese media said Monday that Yabunaka will ask North Korean officials to hand over the family members of five kidnapped Japanese who returned to Japan in October 2002.
The reports added that if Pyongyang agrees to the prompt return of the abductees
