U.S. Treasury Undersecretary for International Affairs, John Taylor, will kick off a three-nation Asian tour next week for talks on global and regional economic issues.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced Friday that Taylor will visit South Korea, Japan and China for four days starting Monday. Taylor will first visit Beijing Monday and discuss with senior Chinese officials on the economy, financial liberalization and in particular, issues related to China's currency.

He then will fly to Japan and hold talks on Japan's efforts to end deflation and to shore up its banking system.

On his final Asian stop in South Korea, Taylor is scheduled to participate in the annual conference of the Asian Development Bank to be held in the resort island of Jeju next Friday.
