Acting President Goh Kun says the government is pursuing the vision of building the nation into a global hub of information and technological revolution.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Seoul Digital Forum 2004 Friday, Goh said the nation will not remain complacent as an IT power, but will commit itself to becoming a world-class IT giant by building a comprehensive digital network combining broadband Internet, broadcasting, and communications.

He said that the government is preparing to introduce new services like broadband mobile Internet and home networking services.

The acting president also pledged the government's active efforts to induce foreign IT companies to invest in South Korea.
