The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining seven-point-03 points, or zero-point-91 percent, to close at 779-point-58.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened seven-point-nine won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-269-point-four won.
