The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 47-point-58 points, or one-point-96 percent, on Thursday, to close the day at two-thousand-475-point-48.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining 19-point-25 points, or two-point-51 percent, to close at 784-point-71.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened two-point-six won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-284-point-eight won.
