S. Korean Buddhists Complete Pacific Crossing to Seek after Truth

A group of South Korean Buddhists arrived in the southern port city of Busan Saturday, ending a four-month voyage across the Pacific Ocean.

The group, including two monks and four followers, started the 6,400-kilometer journey aboard a small yacht from San Diego in January. They arrived in Honolulu in Feb and sailed through Japan in March before their finally reached the South Korean port city.

The leader of the group, Venerable Ji Myong, planned the risky voyage in order to seek after truth by undertaking a life-threatening experience.
