Renowned S. Korean Poet Koo Sang Dies at 85

South Korean poet Koo Sang died early Tuesday in Seoul at the age of 85.

He has been hospitalized since last September for a lung disease.

Koo, whose literary career spans over five decades, was well-known for his work dealing with religious backgrounds.

He also taught in universities and served as an editorial writer from 1946 to 1950 for local newspapers.
