A group of officials from government and state-run agencies held an investment seminar in New York to attract investments to South Korea's free economic zones.

The delegation explained Seoul's policies on attracting foreign investment as well as information on making inwards into the economic zones. The delegation is scheduled to visit Amsterdam and Frankfurt next week for a series of investor relations meetings.

The event was jointly organized by the state-run Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and Korea Land Corporation.

South Korea has designated three port cities, Incheon, Busan and Gwangyang, as free economic zones to bring in foreign investments with offers of tax and other incentives.
