The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) jumped 31-point-18 points, or one-point-27 percent, on Friday, to close the week at two-thousand-490-point-41.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining 14-point-49 points, or one-point-67 percent, to close at 880-point-07.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened two-point-four won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-316-point-seven won.
