Brazilian Airliner Crashes, Killing All 33

A Brazilian airliner crashed in a jungle near the Amazon city of Manaus, killing all 33 people aboard.

The twin engine plane operated by Rico Linhas Aereas crashed nine miles from Manaus airport in northwest Amazonas state early Friday morning.

Rescue crews said they found only small, unidentifiable fragments of the aircraft and no survivors, indicating the plane had likely exploded.
The airline said the passengers were all Brazilians over the age of twelve.

The airline did not specify whether the explosion occurred on impact or in the air. The cause of the crash is s being investigated
