The United States says the most important result of last week's working-level nuclear talks was an agreement to hold another round of working group meeting ahead of higher-level six-party talks.

Deputy State Department spokesman, Adam Ereli, said Monday that the working group meeting has led to the formation of a strong consensus among the five parties on the need for complete, verifiable and irreversible dismantlement of the North's nuclear weapons programs.

Last Saturday, the two Koreas, the U.S., China, Japan and Russia wrapped up three days of working-level talks in Beijing to make preparations for a third round of six-way nuclear talks.
