The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) jumped ten-point-98 points, or zero-point-44 percent, on Thursday, to close the day at two-thousand-495-point-81.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining 19-point-77 points, or two-point-38 percent, to close at 850-point-21.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened one-point-seven won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-338 won.
