The tech-heavy KOSDAQ meanwhile fell, losing seven-point-38 points, or zero-point-87 percent, to close at 842-point-83.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened zero-point-three won against the U.S. dollar, closing at one-thousand-337-point-seven won.
