The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) gained 22-point-86 points, or zero-point-91 percent, on Tuesday, to close the day at two-thousand-524-point-39.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, climbing 12-point-78 points, or one-point-52 percent, to close at 855-point-61.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened four-point-four won against the U.S. dollar, closing at one-thousand-342-point-one won.
